Inclusion Criteria:

• Diabetic macular edema

• Criteria for visual acuity and macular thickness are met

Exclusion Criteria:

• History of glaucoma

• Known steroid-responder

• Use of systemic steroids

• Use of Warfarin/Heparin

• Other protocol-defined exclusion criteria may apply
