Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

• elective transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR-P)

Exclusion Criteria:

• patients with contraindications for spinal anesthesia,

• known sensitivity to the study drugs,

• emergency cases, and

• patients who refused spinal anaesthesia were excluded
