Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

• clinical and electrophysiological diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome

Exclusion Criteria:

• rheumatic diseases

• distal radio or carpal fractures.

• pregnant women

• alpha lipoid acid allergy

• local injections (ej. steroid carpal injections)

• peripheral nervous system diseases (which may cause nerve conduction study abnormalities).
