Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:1. Pregnant females of age 18-45 years
2. ASA physical status II
3. Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18-35 kg/m2
Exclusion Criteria:
1. Any relative or absolute contra-indication to spinal anesthesia
2. Allergy to dexmedetomidine
3. Subjects with pre-existing non-obstetric medical co-morbidities
4. Patient refusal for spinal technique
5. Obstetrics emergencies
