Summary
Degenerative lumbar spinal diseases have become a common health problem and the most frequent indication for spinal surgery in elderly individuals . It mainly contain lumbar spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis, manifested as a series of lumbago, leg pain and neurological symptoms and compressed the dural sac or nerve root. Lumbar spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis occurs in most people over 60 years of age, and patients primarily diagnosed with lumbar degenerative disease are more likely to have osteoporosis. Our study was to explore denosumab effect on bone quality and function status in osteopenia and osteoporosis patients with lumbar degenerative diseases after lumbar fusion surgeryPhase:

Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:- Participants aged 40 to 90 years
- who diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis or lumbar spondylosis
- osteoporosis or osteopenia with BMD T score less than -1.0 via DEXA
- low back pain or leg numbness or leg weekness
- MRI demonstrated signs of nerve compression
Exclusion Criteria:
- cauda cauda horse atrophy
- progressive neurologic deficit
- malignancy
- scoliosis greater than 15°
- previous back surgery
- serious heart or pulmonary disease
