Summary
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause of anovulatory infertility and causes menstrual disruption in 6.6-6.8% of women in reproductive age and is characterized by insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, hyperandrogenism and anovulation.
