Inclusion criteria:

• older than 18 years

• patients undergoing liver resection (benign or malignant tumors)

Exclusion criteria:

• non-german speakers

• laparoscopic liver resection

• coagulopathy (platelets < 50'000/ml, Quick < 50%)

• liver cirrhosis
