Inclusion Criteria:

• Subjects having elective surgery with open unilateral Inguinal herniorraphy

Exclusion Criteria:

• Non elective surgery

• Patients currently on gabapentin therapy

• Patient hypersensitive to gabapentin surgery

• History of alcohol or drug abuse

• Patients who are pregnant or who are nursing
