Summary
We designed a study to determine whether a single dose of dexmedetomidine or thoracic
epidural anesthesia combined with general anesthesia would provide hemodynamic stability,
reduce stress hormone responses, inhibit inflammatory cytokine secretion, and improve sleep
quality in patients after thoracic surgery.
