Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

• Adult patients, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification I and II

• Any tooth with a single chronic periapical lesion requiring apical microsurgery

• Informed consent signed prior to surgery

Exclusion Criteria:

• Background of drug/alcohol abuse

• Adjacent periapical lesion

• Periodontal disease
