Summary
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells, and may be an
effective treatment for anaplastic oligodendroglioma. Combining combination chemotherapy with
radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare radiation therapy with and without combination
chemotherapy in patients with resected anaplastic oligodendroglioma.
