Our study is aimed to clarify the safety of anticoagulant therapy after variceal band ligation for cirrhotic variceal bleeding patients with portal vein thrombosis.

Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:

- clinical diagnosis of cirrhosis

- Portal hypertension with esophageal variceal bleeding

- diagnosis of PVT by imaging examination

- undergo variceal band ligation

Exclusion Criteria:

- liver cancer or other tumors

- cavernous transformation of portal vein

- creatinine more than 20mg/dL,platelet count lower than 10*10^9/L

- ongoing antithrombotic treatment or have received thrombolytic treatment

- pregnancy or breastfeeding

- Having contraindications for endoscopic therapy

- Severe heart and lung diseases,uncontrolled massive hemorrhage or general infection

- major surgery within 3 months

- primary thrombophilia, Budd-Chiari syndrome

- Having received endoscopic therapy, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt
(TIPS) or liver transplantation before
