Inclusion Criteria:

• blepharitis

• facial rosacea

Exclusion Criteria:

• pregnant or nursing women

• allergy to tetracyclines

• recent eye surgery

• past or current use of isotretinoin

• patients who are achlorhydric

• patients who have had gastric by-pass surgery
